Jackito is the first and the only PDA you can operate fully with your thumbs. No stylus needed !
Jackito's main appeal lies in its cultural facet, namely the fun and inexplicable pleasure of owing a fantastic miniature PC which is very powerful and is child's play to use.
By simply touching objects displayed on its LCD touch screen with your fingers, you can intuitively access the fascinating possibilities offered by the modern world of electronics and computing.
Jackito stems from the discovery of the practical benefits offered by the touch screen that featured on the world's first ever
PDA in 1978. This
stylus free PDA was developed by the US company Litton for the US and German armies.
As we saw earlier, the finger can select all types of options on a touch screen (words, object images, keyboard keys, etc.), making it a new tool for human expression and complementing our other faculties (voice, hearing and vision). From a cultural viewpoint, finger touch is the main common denominator for all human modes of expression. Before we learnt to speak, read and eventually write (i.e. before we confined ourselves to the specific linguistic barriers of our diverse cultures), we all instinctively started expressing ourselves by pointing to objects and touching them with our fingers when we were small children. Touch is the only mode of expression that is common to all humans - it is both natural and universal.
